A little about Jake:
Jake Berwald has managed Palmer Bus Service of Zumbrota-Mazeppa since the fall of 2023, and he brought with him a wealth of routing, logistics, and customer service experience. He feels blessed to have finally found a workplace where he knows his contributions make a meaningful impact each and every day. Jake, along with his wife Courtney, daughter Aurora, and son Theodore (Teddy), made the move to Zumbrota in the spring of 2022. In his free time, he often frequents one of Minnesota's many disc golf courses, or embarks on family adventures to discover all the incredible things Southeast Minnesota has to offer. He also enjoys fishing, playing video games, and is an avid Minnesota sports fan.

Palmer Bus Service has been serving the Zumbrota-Mazeppa community by safely transporting students since 2022. We safely transport about 700 students each school day. The Zumbrota-Mazeppa School District #2805 is the home of The Cougars. The Primary School (PreK-2), Middle School (7-8), and High School (9-12) are located in Zumbrota, and the Elementary School (3-6) is in Mazeppa. Students of Christ Lutheran School, a private PreK-8 in Zumbrota, are also transported by us. "The only Zumbrota in the world" is located in Goodhue County and is nestled along Highway 52 roughly 60 minutes south of the Twin Cities, and 30 minutes north of Rochester. Zumbrota is also home to the Zumbrota Covered Bridge, the last functioning covered bridge in the state of Minnesota.
